$ 400.00 - $ 1000.00 Per person, per course
The Heavy Equipment Operators Training Program was developed by a team of the
Colorado Contractors Association (CCA), the American Public Works Association (APWA)
and community college professionals representing several municipalities,
counties and the State of Colorado. The purpose is to provide high quality,
affordable training opportunities for people to gain or enhance their skills.
Classes are small, allowing participants to receive individual instructions as
needed. A ratio of one piece of equipment for every three participants is
maintained when possible. Plenty of hands-on time spent operating the equipment
ensures an effective environment for learning.
Benefits of participating in the program include:
- Students receive college credit toward an A.A.S. degree in Applied
Construction Technology
- Providing a better trained and technically competent work force,
thus reducing accidents, repairs, maintenance costs and extending
equipment life
- Assuring that operators completing a particular certification
program have the specific skills that the organization needs
- Exposing operators to a variety of equipment models that may
influence future equipment purchases
|
- Increasing operator efficiency and effectiveness on the job, leading
to higher customer satisfaction
- Simplifying job promotions by identifying operators qualified to
operate various pieces of equipment, providing third party
verification of equipment and operating skills and linking
certification to performance and pay
- Reducing accidents and downtime by training operators in the proper
safety procedures when operating various pieces of equipment
- Increasing the pool of qualified and certified applicants for job
openings
