Plenty of hands-on time spent operating the equipment ensures an effective environment for learning.

Benefits of participating in the program include:

  • Students receive college credit toward an A.A.S. degree in Applied Construction Technology
  • Providing a better trained and technically competent work force, thus reducing accidents, repairs, maintenance costs and extending equipment life
  • Assuring that operators completing a particular certification program have the specific skills that the organization needs
  • Exposing operators to a variety of equipment models that may influence future equipment purchases
  • Increasing operator efficiency and effectiveness on the job, leading to higher customer satisfaction
  • Simplifying job promotions by identifying operators qualified to operate various pieces of equipment, providing third party verification of equipment and operating skills and linking certification to performance and pay
  • Reducing accidents and downtime by training operators in the proper safety procedures when operating various pieces of equipment
  • Increasing the pool of qualified and certified applicants for job openings
